Safe Nusa is an Indonesian non-profit organization and think tank dedicated to advancing digital literacy, digital safety, and youth empowerment through research, education, advocacy, and partnerships.
As digital technology continues to evolve rapidly, more young people are gaining access to the internet, social media, digital financial services, and AI-powered technologies. While these advancements create new opportunities, they also expose youth to growing risks such as online scams, data privacy breaches, cyberbullying, misinformation, and other digital safety threats.
Safe Nusa bridges the gap between digital inclusion and digital safety through research, education, public awareness campaigns, and multi-stakeholder partnerships. We believe that every young person should have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate the digital world safely, critically, and responsibly.

The people behind this movement
A cross-disciplinary team uniting expertise in technology, policy, education, and community for one shared goal.
Founder of Safe Nusa, who founded the movement out of concern over the rise of online fraud, cyberbullying, and the lack of digital literacy among Indonesia's youth. With a background in technology and social advocacy, she leads Safe Nusa with the belief that every young person has the right to grow up safe, critical, and empowered in the digital world. Kirana holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Indonesia and a master's degree in Digital Development from the University of Manchester.
